Veteran Homelessness

Homelessness is a vast, often multi-faceted problem among the veteran population. For some, it is a matter of temporary displacement, or bridging a gap to afford a security deposit; for others, there may be deeper issues that must be addressed first. There are a number of organizations that help veterans and their families deal with the many issues related to homelessness. The VA has a number of programs covering everything from health care, to job placement, to transitional or permanent housing. Visit the VA at to learn about the programs available.

In addition to the VA, you can find information about other organizations below, including the Hines Fisher House, True North Project and A Safe Haven.
